Now is a perceptional illusion. What we see as now is actually then. The moment our mind registers a singular coordinate in the continuum that moment is gone and another fleeting instance is presented.

Like some sadistic perpetually side-scrolling video game from the challenges keep coming at an unrelenting pace and no matter how well we navigate the present, it’s but a minor victory that exists only in the past. At the moment we think we’ve acknowledged the now, that moment too has passed and the ever elusive quest to live in the now slips hopelessly into the past.
