The systemic and pervasive indoctrination of the male entitled mindset into the collective is one of the greatest failures of modern society. The flagrant disregard for half of our population under the auspice of male entitlement is beyond infuriating. It speaks to an evolutionary aberration where minds capable of empathy and reason came to be but somehow yield control to innate reproductive drives, giving free rein over motor functions and bypassing even our most basic impulse control. Sure it’s hardwired into our genes to fight, fuck and feed but there is more than enough space between that source code and what we call consciousness to allow for a more sophisticated understanding of just how patently stupid and out of step phrases like “boys will be boys” are.
